Art Snacks

Trying to get back into an art form that you have abandoned for decades to be a mother and working professional is…interesting!

In my prior blog post, titled Mother Artist, I talked about all the things that have to fall into place in order to actually sit down and accomplish a piece of art work.

However, I realize I may be setting the bar too high.

If you break down any goal (thinking more like an MBA, Green Belt) into smaller chunks it becomes less intimidating and more achievable.

Instead of artwork that incorporates several mediums, I am focusing more on simplified, daily pieces…more art snacks vs. art meals.

I can always get in at least one small drawing every day. So that is my challenge for the next 30 days – draw ONE thing every single day.

The last several days turned out to be guinea pigs in recognition of Guinea Pig Awareness Day!

The piggies pictured belong to my daughters and are beloved to them. They truly can be emotional support animals. It’s true, don’t laugh!

If you know someone who would like a personalized drawing of their emotional support animal (ESA) please message me.

Always thinking about our mental health and bringing more joy.
